Hi Backers,

As 2023 is wrapping up, I wanted to give you all a quick update, in hopes that I will be able to give more significant updates in the new year. Delivering our Kickstarter rewards and doing right by our community remains Move38's top priority. I have continued to meet with people across industries that are excited by and understand what we've built with Blinks and Move38 and see the opportunity to carry on the vision. I cannot say anything concrete about the future, but I can let you know that your emails have been read and your concerns taken to heart. I hope that with patience and persistence, we'll be able to bring some much needed joy to the world in the not so distant future.

I hope to share news in the next few months with you all. Until then, I am wishing you a happy, healthy new year.

Blinks & Move38 Update

Hi Backers,

I know that this update will be disappointing, and as the founder and leader of Move38, I take full responsibility for the current situation. Move38 does not currently have the resources necessary to fulfill or refund the Kickstarter orders. Despite your generous support and belief in the Blinks Game System and platform. Unfortunately, for reasons I’ll elaborate on below, we weren’t able to deliver on our promise. I understand that we have let you down, and for that, I am truly sorry.

I believe in transparency and sharing the context that lead Move38 to this point, so I wrote a piece here.

We shared significant supply chain hurdles last year, and during that time, we designed and developed a next generation system (fully compatible with the current generation) and would love nothing more than to fulfill our Kickstarter and to see the Blinks Game System and platform live on. Personally, I would like to see it live on as an Educational Technology product and maintain its open-source roots and community. I will continue doing everything in my power to make this happen.

If you have any leads for companies or individuals that might be interested in the business opportunity, to own and operate Blinks, I welcome these introductions with an email to [email protected].

New Year Update and Global Game Jam

Hey Backers,

We hope that everyone had a moment to take a break this holiday season and spend quality time with loved ones. I'm writing with the latest information as we enter the new year and our manufacturer remains ready for production upon receipt of our reserved microchips. We have regular check-ins with the chip provider. We'll continue to share monthly updates directly to your inbox via these Kickstarter Updates.

Global Game Jam 2023

Global Game Jam is one of our favorite annual events. In fact, Blinks very first games were conceived at a game jam. The constraints of the Blinks game system shine in this setting, and we think it's a great opportunity for creators to make something unique in a single weekend.

This year, we are hosting a 1-day Mini-Jam on February 4th at LaGuardia Community College in NYC. The event is 12 hours (9am-9pm EST) and is in-person. If you are local to NYC, we'd love to see your faces and you can register here.

We're nearing the end of the year, a wonderful time to reflect on all of the things we are grateful for, including your support. On the manufacturing front, things are still on track for Spring production and delivery. We'll continue to share updates in the new year.
